Hi, I’m Whitney.

After graduating with a degree in English, I moved from Illinois to Dallas in 2002, accumulated writing experience in the mortgage and hospitality industries, and have enjoyed various marketing communications roles in creative advertising since 2009.

 I’ve spent the majority of my career at JCPenney, where I started as a contract copywriter. Promoted three times over the span of 16 years, I’m a passionate and energetic brand champion who loves creating comprehensive strategies to produce and promote engaging content across omni-channel touchpoints.

I’ve worked hands-on to align all aspects of the creative process, leading cross-functional teams to deliver on-brand stories that supported our business goals. I have proven success navigating multiple projects as a strategic planner and empathetic mentor.

In a part-time role, I enjoyed writing and serving as Editorial Director for two award-winning parenting websites for five years, which was a great creative outlet. I also wrote briefly for The Mighty.
